Thursday, August 8, 2024, as part of the 5th edition of the Confederation of North, Central American and Caribbean States (CONCACAF) U-15 Women's Championship, our young Grenadières after the bitter defeat [9-0] against Costa Rica https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-42924-haiti-u15-championship-costa-ricans-massacre-our-u-15-grenadieres-[9-0].html , then their defeat against Jamaica [2-1] https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-42934-haiti-u15-championship-our-grenadieres-lose-[2-1]-agaisnt-jamaica.html faced the United States for their third group match (Group A) on the lawn of field #3 of the club's training center of Alajuelense from the city of Alajuela (Costa Rica).

Unfortunately once again our Grenadières suffered defeat despite their efforts against the United States they lost [13-0], they were faced with a fast and very organized team.

Kendall Conway scored a first-half hat-trick, Carolina Reyna and Laradana Paletta each scored twice in the win.

Mia Corona blasted home from outside the box just 35 seconds after the kick off. Less than a minute later, Conway scored the first of three first-half goals, finishing a cutback by KK Ream. Conway headed home a free kick by Bristol Kersh, as the United States continued to pressure the Haitians. After a lull in the scoring, the USA added two more before the break. Amari Manning found herself in enough space in the 30th minute to lash home a fourth goal from just outside the box. And Conway’s hat trick came when she slid home a saved Madeline DiMaria shot.

The score was 5-0 at halftime.

DiMaria added a sixth goal two minutes into the half. Played in behind by substitute McKenna Whitham, she faked past one defender and her deflected shot beat the Haitian goalkeeper. The lead was extended by Loradana Paletta in the 48th minute. After a fierce Whitham shot was saved into the path of the midfielder, who got a goal. Other goals came from Caroline Swann, Kersh, another from Paletta, two more from Carolina Reyna and Whitham.

Making the score 13-0.

Group A standings :

#1 USA : 9 points, 27 goals, 27

#2 Costa Rica : 6 points, 13 goals, 10

#3 Jamaica : 3 points, 2 goals, -14

#4 Haiti : 0 points, 1 goal, -23

After three match played resulting in three defeats, 24 goals conceded for 1 goal scored our Grenadières are currently ranked last, however they will have to face the Puerto Rico team for the last match. Puerto Rico - Haiti is a crucial match to determine the positioning in the final standings in League A.
